After graduating from Cambridge University he trained in Plastic Surgery in Sydney, London & East Anglia with numerous visits to specialists in Europe and North America. Thereafter he completed four specialist fellowships in reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery including an international head & neck cancer surgery fellowship in Sydney, Australia. 

His NHS practice has a specialist focus on skin cancer and complex facial reconstruction including complex nasal reconstruction. He sits on the regional Skin Cancer and Head and Neck Cancer multidisciplinary panels. In private practice he undertakes skin cancer treatment, facial and nasal reconstruction and a broad range of aesthetic surgery of the nose, face, breast and body.

He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals. As well as a Masters degree (MD) in skin cancer molecular biology, he has completed postgraduate diplomas in aesthetic surgery and medical education. His current research interests include functional outcomes in complex head and neck reconstruction and patient-reported outcome measures in aesthetic surgery.
