Aleesa then moved to the Intensive Care Unit at the RBH at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. During this difficult time, Aleesa worked with COVID patients in intensive care, dealing with tragedy and distressed patients and families. This experience has vastly widened her nursing skills and increased her emotional resilience. As well as being excellent at nursing skills such as phlebotomy and wound dressing, Aleesa is a very sensitive nurse who genuinely cares for her patients.
 
As the pandemic started to ease, Aleesa decided she wanted to specialise in dermatology, so joined Derma in June 2021 in order to learn from the very best dermatology nurses and doctors.
 
During Aleesa’s spare time, she enjoys going on walks and spending time at the gym. Aleesa has also recently started doing some cross-stitching as a way to relax and unwind. During the weekend, she likes spending time with her friends and family.
