Dr Rakesh Patalay is the clinical lead for one of the largest skin cancer assessment clinics in the country and part of the largest dermatology surgery & Mohs surgery service in the South East and the regional laser service. He is a nationally recognised expert in skin cancer assessment, laser treatment and skin imaging.
Dr Rakesh Patalay is a Consultant Dermatologist and Dermatological Surgeon based at the national centre for skin disease at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, London. His experience in general, surgical and laser dermatology both in the NHS and privately places him amongst a select few practising cosmetic dermatology with this breadth of expertise, which he has done for many years.
He remains active in academic research and currently trains both junior doctors and consultants in skin cancer assessment and management and advanced skin surgery skills.
