Dr Sabrina Khan

Dr Sabrina Khan has expertise in all aspects of dermatology including skin cancer and benign lesions. She specialises in vulval dermatology, leads the Oxford NHS vulval service, and runs a joint oral-vulval clinic with a UCLH oral physician. She understands that seeing a specialist regarding genital skin conditions can sometimes be a daunting prospect. She takes the time to explore concerns and is committed to empowering women with their skin health. She also consults across the full spectrum of general dermatology including acne, rosacea, eczema and psoriasis.

She completed her undergraduate training at Bart’s and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. During her postgraduate medical training, she undertook a clinical diploma in dermatology for which she was awarded a distinction. She went on to successfully secure a one-year clinical fellowship at the world-renowned St John’s Institute of Dermatology in London, prior to undertaking specialist dermatology training in the Thames Valley Deanery.

As part of her NHS consultant dermatologist role, she is the departmental audit lead, highlighting her commitment to service development and improvement for patients. Given her strong interest in teaching, she completed a postgraduate certificate in academic practice, attaining a distinction and achieving fellow status of the Higher Education Academy.

She thoroughly enjoys her role as a communication skills tutor and is passionate about training future dermatologists. She is an educational supervisor and mentor for the British Association of Dermatologists. She continues to undertake research activities relating to skin cancer and lichen sclerosus. She has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and has presented both nationally and internationally on a range of topics.
